A dog dispute left eight people injured in a downtown Nashville shooting on Sunday morning, police said.
Two men reportedly exchanged gunfire around 1 a.m. Sunday after “arguing over a dog that was with one of the men,” Nashville Metropolitan Police said in a statement.
The man with the dog reportedly pulled out a gun during the argument. “The second suspect then left but returned a few minutes later armed with a rifle and accompanied by several other men,” police said.
Eight people were injured in the gunfire that followed, but none of the injuries were life threatening, police said.
Authorities have not identified any of the suspects in the dispute and have yet to announce charges arising from the brawl.
