The Philadelphia Eagles defense came out to play Monday night against the Seattle Seahawks, keeping the Week 12 NFC showdown close at hand for much of the night. DK Metcalf has always had an illustrious performance working against Darius Slay, however, and more importantly, Doug Pederson, Carson Wentz and the Eagles’ own offense once again flouted. Russell Wilson, on the other hand, did enough to capitalize on Philly’s putrid performance with the ball in his hands, helping to lead Seattle to a 23-17 victory.
Monday’s result marks seven straight wins for the Seahawks over the Eagles, who have yet to beat Seattle since Pete Carroll became head coach. He keeps the Hawks atop NFC West at 8-3 and drops Philly to 3-7-1 in NFC East.
