Dr Anthony Fauci Sunday gave the seal of approval for the kids to have fun outside this Halloween, one year after being qualified as a “high-risk” activity due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The statement comes just a week after Fauci said it was “too early to say” whether families were to reunite for Christmas in December.

“You can go out – you’re outside for the most part, at least when my kids were out there making candy or a spell – and enjoy it,” Fauci said. “I mean, it’s a time that the kids love. It’s a very important part of the year for the kids. I know my kids enjoy it.
“Especially if you are vaccinatedHe added. So now is a good time to think about why it is important to get the vaccine.
“But go out there and enjoy Halloween and the other holidays to come,” he said.
A COVID-19 vaccine has yet to be approved for children under 12, but Pfizer has sought government approval for its vaccine for children aged 5 to 11.

Last year, Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, advised parents not to allow their children to go door-to-door, or at least make a face mask in the part of their costume.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention last year labeled traditional trick-or-treat a “high risk” activity and advised parents to leave candy at their front door or aisle to minimize contact with strangers.
