Introducing Final Fantasy XIV Announcements

Square Enix will host a “Final Fantasy XIV Announcement Showcase ”on February 5, 2021 at 5:30 p.m. PT / 8:30 p.m. ET, the company announced. The show will include live interpretation from Japanese to English.

“We have something else in store …” the Final Fantasy XIV official Twitter account teased. “We’re going to announce some cool stuff.”

While Square Enix hasn’t shared any additional information, the storefront is likely where it will announce the next one. Final Fantasy XIV expansion. The current expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers, was announced in November 2018. The previous extension, Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood, was announced in October 2016. And the expansion before that, Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward, was announced in October 2014. The next expansion would likely have been announced during the Fan Fest originally scheduled for November, which was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Final Fantasy XIV Online is now available on PlayStation 4 and PC.
