Four injured in a Pomfret accident listed in stable condition | News, Sports, Jobs

Four people involved in a vehicle overturn accident on Route 5 on Saturday morning in the town of Pomfret are all listed in stable condition for the moment.

Fredonia State Police listed the four people involved as Allyson J. Czajkowski, 24, of Lancaster; Jessica L. Blackwood, 30, of Buffalo; Aaron J. Sylvia, 24, of Buffalo; and Michael H. Milich, 24, of St. Petersburg, Florida.

Soldiers said the cause of the 9:30 a.m. crash is unknown at this time.

The Fredonia Fire Department said on its Facebook page that it had responded to the crash and West Dunkirk Fire set up a landing zone at the Shorewood Country Club to assist those involved in the crash as three helicopters were called in for the incident.

Mutual help also came from the firefighters of Brocton for an ambulance, Alstar Ambulance, West Dunkirk for a landing zone, Mercy Flight and Stat Medivac for two helicopters. Chautauqua County Emergency Services, Chautauqua County Sheriff, Dunkirk Police and Fredonia Police provided assistance.
