Amsterdam – "If he refuses to put a condom, it's out". Tattooed body and platinum blond hair, Foxxy Angel swallows a chorizo sandwich before sitting down on his red velvet chair, behind the windows of a brothel in the famous red light district of Amsterdam.
The streets of this end of the city center are dotted with ground floor houses of picturesque houses with three windows, surrounded by a red neon light. Emblematic of the capital of the Netherlands, these dens of prostitution come out of the shadows next week with the reception of the International AIDS Conference.
" When we chose Amsterdam to host the conference, it is certainly with the idea of highlighting the most vulnerable and exposed to HIV ," says Linda-Gail Bekker, President of the International AIDS Society (IAS). " If we do not pay attention to these people, we will fail in the fight against AIDS ," she adds to AFP during a visit to the red light district Saturday .

" I am not afraid at all, some of my girlfriends are infected with HIV but they continue to work.This is possible today ," says the young American of 25 years, referring to medical progress.
