As you probably know, the Alpine A110 is surely what has been best for the French car industry for years. This accomplished sportswoman is today one of the references in its category, but also in the world of sports cars more globally. Therefore, some preparers have already attacked the car to make it even more desirable, and especially more athletic. But, it must be admitted, for the moment the preparations are quite "discreet", in the sense that engineers and mechanics certainly can not do what they want with the small four-cylinder engine 1.8 liter TCe which, in the series A110, develops 252 horses.
Today, it is Waldow Performance who presents us his preparation of his Alpine A110. To mark the occasion, no traditional blue or white colors, but an acid green that at least has the merit of attracting the eye, if the basic A110 does not attract enough already. Engineers replaced some elements of the front bumper with carbon fiber materials. We also notice from the outset this rear wing, also carbon fiber, which is surely supposed to provide a bit of aerodynamic support at high speed. In addition to these modifications, the double wishbone suspension has also been redesigned and especially strengthened.
Under the bonnet, the TCe 252 horsepower block has already been reviewed many times by other preparers. They usually stopped at 280 horses. A nice evolution knowing that the car slightly exceeds the ton. As for Waldow Performance, if nothing is yet official, the equivocal name of the car in question suggests that it should develop 300 horses. The engine is able to reach this level of power since it is already the case in the new Renault Mégane R.S. Trophy, also equipped with a 1.8-liter four-cylinder TCe. We should have more information about the car in a few days. It should also be presented at the next edition of the Essen Motor Show.
