"My son is so ashamed that he stayed in the car and I died laughing by the side of the road!" A woman broadcast a video Sunday, November 25, showing her husband trying, alone, to slow down traffic on a pedestrian crossing before a roundabout in Serres-Castet (Pyrénées-Atlantiques), near Pau. The man is wearing a yellow vest. Tuesday night, the video had been viewed more than 1.8 million times.
"My stomach hurts from laughter," she comments, while the lonely protester goes back and forth on the pedestrian crossing without really being able to block a car. At times, the man challenges motorists to invite them to join him. "For my 52 years, my husband makes me a great gift, he will never make me laugh as much as today", the woman continues. She concludes with a message of support to her husband: "Bravo to him, at least he moves!"
