An actor dies in full sketch, the spectators laugh, believing in a joke

Comedian Ian Cognito, whose real name is Paul Barbieri, 60, was a figure in the British comic scene. He died on stage, in full show on Thursday, in Bicester, near Oxford, England, reports The Times.

The actor was floored by a heart attack, after joking in his sketch about having a stroke.

The comedian slumped on a chair, but the audience thought he was still playing. The spectators continued to laugh. It was only after five minutes that one of the staff members began to worry and went on stage, finding that the actor was not breathing anymore.

The helpers could not revive her. According to the BBC, Ian Cognito said he was not feeling well before the show began.
