Android Q is the future version of Android … and XDA has just delivered some details about what to expect.
If all goes well, we will discover Android Q ahead of the Google I / O conference, by May 2019, it is likely that Google keeps the same schedule as previous versions of Android.
XDA Developers, one of the famous American forums, has released some screenshots of the supposed Android Q.
As you know, Android 9 Pie has a dark mode, but it only applies to notifications and the launcher. The screenshots of XDA suggest, as we had already heard, that Android Q will extend the dark mode to more interfaces, including the settings menu, and it will be possible to force this mode in some applications without a dark mode.
Google would also continue enhance user privacy with new, stricter rules. For example, a new authorization would be required to run your application in the background. For now, Android Pie only offers to enable or disable sensitive permissions, such as your location or access to the microphone.
Finally, it also seems highly likely – according to XDA – that Google is working on its own external display mode similar to Samsung DeX. For the moment, it still seems much too early to be sure … but the community would be interested in a PC mode: USB Type-C displays and DisplayPort-enabled smartphones are very active on the market.
More and more rumors
Rumors around Android Q will be more and more numerous by the time of its official announcement. Just recently, we were talking to you about how Android Q might be updated.
