The next version of Android should soon be officially unveiled. Google has prepared its forum for the launch of the beta. There would be no Developer Preview this year.

The report request is pre-populated with questions from Google like " is this problem a regression from Android P to Android Q? ".
A link is provided in this pre-populated report request to ask the user to verify that the report has not already been reported. This link, points to a search in the bug tracker for reported bugs concerning the beta from March 11, 2019, today.
This link, and the update of the bug tracker, suggests that the beta should be unveiled today, March 11, 2019.
An open beta to more manufacturers
In 2018 and thanks to Treble, Google had been able to offer a beta of Android 9.0 Pie on more than a dozen smartphones including Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S, Nokia 7 Plus and OnePlus 6.
Illiyan Malchev, the architect of Treble, unveiled in a podcast that the beta of Android Q would be open to more manufacturers, which also means a little more eligible smartphones.
Among the major absentees in 2018, we can mention Huawei and Samsung who had no compatible smartphone. We can imagine that devices like the Mate 20 Pro, or the Galaxy S10 will this time be eligible for the beta of Android Q.
