After Lucas, another former PSG player could join Tottenham this summer. But the Spurs are going to have to break their piggy bank. According to the BBC, they sent an estimated bid of 53 million pounds, or 60 million euros, to Betis Seville to engage the services of Giovani Lo Celso. An offer that should be rejected by Sevillian leaders. The latter would claim a sum close to 88 million pounds, about 100 million euros, to let leave their Argentine middle age of 23 years, the amount of its discharge clause. The Betis intends to realize a huge surplus value in case of sale this summer. Because last April, the Andalusian club had lifted the purchase option set by the PSG for 24 million euros. It remains to be seen whether the Spurs will want to match the amount requested by Betis.

He could be the successor of Eriksen

Not inclined to spend money on the transfer market, Tottenham has never spent more than 48 million euros for a player. It was in August 2017 to convince Ajax to cede defender Davinson Sanchez. According to the BBC, other Premier League clubs are interested in the profile of Lo Celso, who has just completed a great season with Betis with nine goals scored and four badists in the Liga. Retained by Argentine coach Lionel Scaloni for the Copa America (14 June-7 July), Lo Celso could be the successor of Christian Eriksen in Tottenham. At the end of the contract in 2020, the Danish international has still not extended to Spurs and is regularly announced in the viewfinder of Real Madrid.
