It's late morning, Tuesday, November 28, 2018, that Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron arrived at the Pompidou Center, in Paris, for a very noticed visit. The president and the first lady of France obviously did not agree this visit face to face for their only pleasure since they were accompanied by the Romanian presidential couple, Klaus Werner Iohannis and his wife Carmen.
Alongside his counterpart, the French head of state has officially launched the Franco-Romanian cross-cultural season, before signing a joint political declaration at the Elysee Palace. According to AFP, Emmanuel Macron welcomed Klaus Werner Iohannis to the Pompidou Center where they, along with their respective wives, visited the Zero Gallery where works by Romanian artists, including Constantin Brancusi, Serban Savu and Cipriani Muresan, were exhibited. "This is the first cross season that France organizes with a country of the European Union"said the president.

Otherwise "this cross season will coincide with the first Romanian Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2019" who will be "marked by major issues: the European elections and the renewal of the European institutions that will ensue, the Brexit, the roadmap for the future of Europe"added Emmanuel Macron.

The two presidents then went to the Elysée where, after a lunch, they signed a political declaration for "to reinforcerelations between France and Romania, both countries urged "Europeans to accelerate their efforts to achieve a more efficient, stronger and safer Europe", especially in the field of defense.
The cultural season, following events between the two countries, will end in Romania on July 14, 2019. Nearly 15% of Romanians practice the language of Molière, widely taught in schools in the country.
Friday, November 30 and Saturday, December 1, 2018, Brigitte and Emmanuel Macron will also visit Argentina, Buenos Aires, where will be held the thirteenth G20 summit. This is the first summit to be held in South America.
