Famous face of small and big screen, the actress Clea DuVall is also illustrated behind the camera. For her second feature film as a director, she plans to offer the services of one of the most talented actresses of her generation: Kristen Stewart.
According to information from Variety, Kristen Stewart is currently in negotiations to play the lead role in Clea DuVall's second feature film Happiest Season.
The film, described as a romantic comedy, was scripted by Clea DuVall and Mary Holland (Animals.). He follows a young woman about to ask her girlfriend in marriage at a family party, when she learns that she has still not made her coming out with his conservative parents. At present, it is not clear what role Kristen Stewart will play.
A busy schedule
While waiting to know more about Happiest SeasonKristen Stewart will be featured in several films in the coming months, starting with the reboot of Charlie's Angels directed by Elizabeth Banks, in which she plays one of three funny ladies. The film, currently shooting, will be released in theaters in November 2019. It can also be found in the action movie poster Underwater by William Eubank alongside Vincent Cbadel which should come to the surface in 2019. The same year, we can also discover in the skin of the iconic actress Jean Seberg for the biopic Against All Enemies from Benedict Andrews.
And as if she was not busy enough like that, Kristen Stewart is also preparing her first feature film as a director. For this challenge, she decided to adapt the memoirs of Lidia Yuknavitch published in 2011: The Chronology of Water (Fluid Mechanics in VF). In particular, this work dealt with bibaduality and gender, two topics that particularly appeal to Stewart, who said a few months ago that playing an androgynous character in Personal Shopper Olivier Assayas had been the freest experience of his career.
