Chest, new bad? This seems to be the case, given the survey of more than 1,300 women by the FIFG. Respondents were asked about their report to cosmetic surgery during the month of June 2018. Of the operations recommended by ladies, bad modification comes first
This surgery represents 49% of performed procedures this year . A spectacular recovery for an operation that accounted for less than 10% of cosmetic surgery in 2002. At the time, interventions were more diverse and only the correction of the nose seemed really popular (18% of operations).
2015, the number of women with bad implants was estimated at 400,000, of which 80% for aesthetic purposes.
Implant placement
Among the procedures used to sublimate patients' bads, we count Breast augmentation or augmentation mammoplasty. It is intended for bads:
- Unwormed or undeveloped;
- Asymmetrical or poorly formed since puberty;
- Having decreased in volume after childbirth but whose skin has not relaxed too much. [19659009] silicone prostheses filled with physiological saline or hydrogel are used. These implants are positioned after an incision under the bad, under the areola or under the arm (at the armpit).
Known risks
After the intervention, regular checks should be made for to ensure the integrity of the prostheses and their impact on the state of health of the patients:
- during the early postoperative period (during the first fortnight);
- 3 months after implantation when inflammation reached its peak;
- 1 year after surgery, to badess the condition of the scar,
- every year thereafter at a minimum.
This operation is not sustainable. Implants have a limited life. Like any surgical procedure, the pose of bad implants presents risks of complication :
- Hematoma. The accumulation of blood around the implant is an early complication that can occur in the first few hours.
- Cutaneous necrosis. This is a very rare but feared complication because, in the extreme, it can locally expose the implant, notably by disunity of the sutures.
- Abnormalities of healing.
- A new disease badociated with implants has recently been discovered. This is anaplastic large cell lymphoma badociated with a bad implant (LAGC). Studies are underway to better understand the mechanisms related to its development.
