Fear settled on the campus of La Source, Orleans (Loiret). In less than a week, no less than five students were badually badaulted, reports the local daily La République du Center.
"This figure is probably undervalued … From what we know today, between 5 and 10 students were reportedly attacked last week "says Ary Bruand, director of the University of Orleans.
The five girls who reported these facts to the institution or the police explained that some of their comrades refused to testify. This is what allows Ary Bruand to estimate "without exaggerating" that the total number of victims could be higher.
Security measures
Each time, the students describe a man in his twenties with a face concealed by a hood. The aggressor follows them, at nightfall, then throws on them and touches their private parts.
Exceptional security measures have already been taken by the university. The lighting system has been modified, patrols of augmented security officers, and the police will also conduct rounds.
