Targeted by a complaint for rape filed this summer by an actress, Gerard Depardieu was heard Tuesday, November 27 by the Paris judicial police. The meeting was held in open hearing and the actor was not placed in custody. The investigators of the Parisian judicial police wanted to hear him on the rape charges made by the young woman.

On August 27, a 20-year-old actress and dancer filed a complaint with the gendarmerie of Lambesc, in Bouches-du-Rhône. In this complaint, she accuses Gérard Depardieu of having raped her and badually badaulted him at home, in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, twice on Tuesday 7 and Monday 12 August. The young woman explains that Gerard Depardieu was a friend of his father and that she rubbed shoulders with him for a project they had in common.

Gérard Depardieu has always formally contested these accusations. His lawyer, Master Hervé Témime, invited on August 30 to be very careful, saying he was convinced that "the complaint would not prosper on the judicial level".

An expected hearing

After the filing of the complaint in the South, the Paris prosecutor had finally inherited the case, entrusting the investigation to the Paris judicial police. The young woman has been heard again by the investigators in recent weeks to make him clarify his first statements. Nothing has filtered from this audition.

Tuesday, November 27, it was therefore logical enough for Gérard Depardieu to be invited to explain this case. Expected, this hearing is an important step. It is now the prosecution of Paris who will decide the follow-up to give to this case.
