Health | A brioche roll refunded by social security

In October, the Nutrisens group will launch a brioche roll in the pharmacy, the cost of which will be borne by the social security system.

Complex Carbohydrates, Minerals, Fibers … Bread is a good food for health, which must not be eliminated from its diet, contrary to popular belief about its consumption. Does this make it such an essential ingredient that social security has to pay for it? The brioche roll, made in the Doubs by the Poulaillon group and imagined by Nutrisens and Cerelab, is in fact by any specialty.

Called G-Nutrition, it is a medical aid already available to health facilities to support malnourished patients. This brioche roll contains 20.6g of protein per hundred grams, and is thus prescribed to the elderly who have a loss of muscle. It is also rich in vitamins B and D, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, zinc, iron and selenium. Its design is the result of five years of research.

Only a medical prescription will make it possible to buy it and benefit from the reimbursement of social security. This bun brioche offered in two recipes, one nature and the other with chocolate chips, will be launched in pharmacies next October, priced at 12.48 euros a box of twelve.
