Throughout France, tacos restaurants are mushrooming. Mohamed Soualhi is not for nothing. This young entrepreneur is at the head of Tacos Avenue, one of the brands that popularized in France these meat-filled patties, with its competitors O'Tacos, Tacos de Lyon or Mister Tacos. For this young man, who built a small empire of fast food, the adventure began in 2007.

After the opening of a first restaurant in Grenoble, when he is only 19 years old, Mohamed Soualhi chooses Montpellier to realize his dreams. He opened a first shop on the Avenue de Justice de Castelnau, then on the Avenue de la Pompignane.

"At first, customers were sometimes a little surprised"

"In the early days, there were not many people, says the entrepreneur, whose headquarters are located in the Millennium district. But word of mouth quickly worked, and day by day, the restaurant was filled. At first, customers were sometimes a little surprised, so that you can mix meat and sauces in a cake. "

Then it will be Millau, Alès, Paris … Overwhelmed by requests, carried by advertising campaigns on social networks, Mohamed Soualhi has developed a franchise, and opened restaurants in all corners of France, but also abroad. Today, Tacos Avenue has 15 stores in France, and two in Morocco. A dozen is currently being opened, including a restaurant in Geneva.

"We take our time to develop, we slow down even a little things not to do anything, says the thirties. We want to train teams, accompany them. I am very happy with this journey until today, but you must always be on your guard. As for the reasons for the success of tacos in France, Mohamed Soualhi has no doubt: "It's simple, and it's good," he says. And you can multiply the combinations, vary the meats and sauces, make your own product. Tacos Avenue has an annual turnover of 15 million euros.
