From July 16 to 22, 59 cases of dengue were diagnosed in the West, in the South and to a lesser extent in the North (2 cases). – in the North: Saint-Denis city (2 cases)
With 6345 dengue cases reported since early January, dengue fever is the cause of 134 hospitalizations, 414 emergency room visits and probably one death. A real epidemic that mobilized the ARS and the prefecture to encourage the Runionnais to participate actively in the fight against this disease.
The new communication campaign aims to remind the Runionnais that everyone is involved in this radication thanks to simple gestures. : avoid stagnant water and protect yourself with suitable repulsives. The ARS, on its side, continues the operation of demustication on the most affected zones.
