In the footsteps of the e-tron electric SUV and its Sportback variant, both expected in dealerships in 2019, Audi is preparing to launch a new zero emission vehicle. This is the e-tron GT (photo) which takes the form of a large coupe four doors, four seats.
For now, the model is still in the concept-car stage and is revealed at the Los Angeles auto show (November 30 to December 9, 2018). It will be necessary to wait until the end of 2020 for the release of the production version. Upon arrival, she will compete with the Tesla Model S and Porsche Taycan.
A wider and lower Audi A7 Sportback
Side dimensions, the machine is 4.96 meters long, 1.96 meters wide and only 1.38 meters high. For comparison, an A7 Sportback displays 4.97 mx 1.91 mx 1.42 m. The brand with four rings announces a trunk volume of up to 450 liters, not to mention an additional 100 liters under the hood.

Audi talks about an ultralight body with a part of the roof made of carbon fiber. Many elements are aluminum. The design is racy. 590 horses, 400 kilometers of autonomy
Technically, the manufacturer of Ingolstadt explains having worked in collaboration with Porsche. Power is announced at 590 horsepower, pulled two electric motors, one on each axle. The torque will be transmitted to all four wheels via an electric quattro permanent all-wheel drive. In terms of performance, the German brand claims an exercise from 0 to 100 km / h in about 3.5 seconds and 12 seconds to go up to 200 km / h. The top speed is electronically limited to 240 km / h, while the range exceeds 400 km (WLTP cycle). The car can be recharged by induction in just over 8 hours or by cable via an 800 volt charger. In the latter case, it takes 20 minutes to have 80% of the autonomy, or 320 kilometers.
