Announcing up to 310 kilometers of range, the Peugeot e-2008 marks the debut of the manufacturer in the electric SUV segment.
And two! After the highly anticipated e-208, Peugeot unveils the second 100% electric model developed around the e-CMP platform.
The first electric SUV of the manufacturer, this 2008 electric sports unsurprisingly the same lines as the clbadic petrol and diesel engines. We thus find links of kinship with the latest models of the range such as the signature with 3 claws LED already present on the 208 and the 508.
Some elements however make it possible to distinguish this electric version. Already present on the e-208, the dichroic logo alternates from green to blue depending on the angle of view while a specific monogram "e" appears on the front fenders and tailgate. Exclusive gray Alcantara seat upholstery is also featured on the e-2008 GT.
Inside, we find the PEUGEOT i-Cockpit 3D Instrumentation Instrumentation, which projects information like a hologram. This is complemented by a 10-inch touch screen that can be controlled by voice commands. In both cases, specific features and menus have been added to the electric version.
136 horses and 50 kWh
On a technical level, the Peugeot e-2008 has the same configuration as the e-208, combining an electric motor of 100 kW (136 horsepower) and 260 Nm of torque to a battery of 50 kWh. Warranty 8 years or 160,000 kilometers, it is placed under the floor to not affect the livability. At the boot level, the cargo space remains the same as for the thermal versions, ie 450 liters.
The machine is heavier and less aerodynamic (0.766 SCx), its performance is lower than that of the Peugeot e-208. In the WLTP cycle, the range displayed is 310 km, which is 30 km less than the e-208. Not communicated, the acceleration values are indicated "pending approval".
In use, there are different driving modes but also a function "B" to strengthen the intensity of the engine brake to recover more energy during the braking and deceleration phases.
Refill: up to 100 kW in Combo
The configuration of the refill part is also the same. This Peugeot e-2008 integrates a charger of 7.4 kW which can climb to 11 kW in option as well as a Combo connector for fast charging. Tolerant up to 100 kW of power, it allows a recharge to 80% in 30 minutes.

Wall box 7.4 kW single phase | 7:30 |
Wall box 11 kW three-phase | 5:00 |
Fast Charge Combo CCS 100 kW | 80% in 30 minutes |
A complete ecosystem
As for the e-208, Peugeot completes its e-2008 with a panel of services designed to make everyday life easier for users.
With Easy-Charge, the brand combines a wallbox offer for professionals and individuals with its Free2Move Services badge. Distributed in partnership with PlugSurfing, it provides access to some 105,000 public charging points across Europe.
Designed to facilitate the organization of journeys, Easy-Move offers a planning tool taking into account the remaining battery life and load points spread over the route. Finally comes Serenity integrating digital simulators and "help to discover" the electric but also a set of support services and badistance.
Launch in late 2019
If it is still too early to discuss the tariffs, this electric version of the Peugeot 2008 will be launched from the end of 2019.
In terms of finishes, we should find the same configuration as that of the Peugeot e-208, now available in four levels: Active, Allure, GT Line and GT.
