The industrial group has indicated that no case of infection has been reported yet, but calls for vigilance.

Nestlé recalls "as a precaution" in France 38 boxes of infant milk Guigoz 1st age, because of a suspicion of bacterial contamination, announced Saturday, July 14 the group. He pointed out that no case of infection has been reported for the time being.

The recall concerns boxes of milk powder "Guigoz 1st age thickened formula 800g" bearing the lot number 8075080624. These products, in phase of "industrial test" were not intended for sale and were "mistakenly integrated into the distribution circuit in pharmacies" points out Nestlé.

The group suspects a "enterobacter contamination" and invites consumers who are in possession of these boxes not to use them and to bring them back to the pharmacy. They are "very easily" identifiable, says Nestlé. The Guigoz logo appears in white-gray and not in red as usual, the instructions are unclear and the boxes do not include a measuring stick.

No case of infection has been reported, but "in case of persistent fever in children within 15 days after consumption of this product, it is recommended to consult a doctor as soon as possible" says the manufacturer. Nestle presents its "apologies to parents who [lui] trust" and set up a free number to answer consumer questions: 0800 223 242 .
