The Vallourec group, shaken on the markets (its price has fallen by 60% since the beginning of the year), specializing in the manufacture of steel tubes, would prepare a broad social plan, according to the newspaper Challenges.
In total, 1,800 positions (out of the 19,000 that count the group) would be threatened, including 1,200 in France, on the sites of Montbard, Aulnoye (North) and Saint-Saulve (North). In Germany, 600 people could be involved at the Düsseldorf site. This plan should be implemented in 2019.
