Nathalie is now suffering from paraplegia – a paralysis of the lower extremities – and is wheelchair-bound. "This anesthetist took away my freedom," she says. Before I ran, I wanted to prepare for a marathon. For me, it's over.
Supported by her lawyer, the woman decided to file a criminal complaint for violence and unintentional injuries. "I know the money will not get my legs back, but it will at least allow me to build my house," she says. The anesthetist, meanwhile, faces up to 10 years in prison
