This plan, announced early June by the president of the Sibyle Veil group, consists in achieving 60 million euros in savings by 2022, following the recommendations of the Court of Auditors. It is a question of anticipating the fall of the contribution of the State (less 20 million euros over four years) and the increase of the expenses of personnel. The plan "Radio France 2022" also plans to invest more in digital. Ten days ago, Mme Veil explained to World want to spend 20 million euros on this, for "Build the French reference platform for audio on the digital, which will combine quality of our content and diversity of our offers".

As a result, a reorganization of work schedules, to avoid the use of fixed-term contracts, is envisaged. It should lead to the elimination of 270 posts if employees agree to give up weeks of leave, or 390 posts if there is no agreement with the unions.

The unions ask "The withdrawal of this dangerous and destructive plan" and a "Workforce and means necessary to fulfill our public service missions", while the public radios display excellent audiences and the group has found the financial equilibrium.

Thursday, June 13, a meeting of "method" failed, the unions leaving the meeting. Before starting to negotiate, they ask for quantified objectives, precise budgets. They rely in particular on the report of an independent firm, Tandem, which, mandated by the social committee of Radio France, qualified the economies of "Oversized" : the increase in personnel costs over the next few years has been, according to this overvalued firm of 8.7 million euros and Radio France could save itself 118 job cuts.

The management of Radio France challenged this report Monday night, citing a "Wrong methodology". According to Marie Message, Director of Operations and Finance, the firm Tandem based on the year 2018 to calculate the increase in payroll, while this year saw little hiring, because of a vacancy in the head of the group for a few weeks due to the success of the former CEO Mathieu Gallet- replaced by Sibyle Veil in April 2018.

Mme Messager badured that explanations and additional figures would be given by the management during a central council of company, planned Tuesday afternoon, during the strike of the antennas. For their part, employees must meet in general meeting Monday noon at the Round House.

In 2015, Radio France had a historic 28-day strike to protest against a savings plan.
