Known as the ‘Frost Moon’, this month’s full moon was pictured behind the Hardy monument near Dorchester in Dorset this evening.
The frost moon will appear full for about two to three days and is also known as Beaver Moon or Mourning Moon.
This year, the Frost Moon features a partial lunar eclipse that will be visible to the eye for about an hour, but will be so faint that some people will “ swear nothing is happening even looking at it straight, ” EarthSky reports.
