Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 receive December security update

[ad_1]

Samsung started rolling out the December 2020 security patch earlier today, with the Galaxy S9 series and Galaxy S20 FE among the first to receive it. But the day is not over yet and Samsung is now rolling out the December 2020 security update for the Galaxy Note 10 as well as the Galaxy Z Fold 2.

Galaxy Note 10 latest update contains firmware version N97xFXXS6DTK8 and it is deployed in many European countries, including Bulgaria, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Romania and Switzerland. Galaxy Z Fold 2, model number SM-F916B, now receives firmware version F916BXXS1BTK1 in Germany. The package weighs approximately 172 MB.

As usual, Samsung began rolling out the December 2020 security update before revealing the changelog. This is for security reasons, as the company is unwilling to detail any potential exploits that were addressed by the recent update until it spreads widely to more devices and customers.

Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Z Fold 2 owners in regions where the update is available should be able to download it by opening Settings on their phones, access Software update and typing Download and install. SamMobile readers can also view our firmware archives, download the latest update, and install it manually using a Windows PC.
