With Coffee Lake CPU

A still unknown MacBook Pro model pays tribute to the Geekbench benchmarking program. There, he gets very respectable results with an impressive score thanks to the current Intel chip of the Coffee Lake generation. The version should take place this year.

The Geekbench Benchmarking Tool Database is a safe source for searching for products that have not yet been published. Developers and employees test prototypes, the results of which can then be viewed online. Just recently, the so-called iPhone X 2018 appeared as "iPhone 11.2" at Geekbench 4. Now, apparently, the 2018 MacBook Pro is the honor.

In general, performance test results can easily be rigged – so you need to take into account some skepticism when looking at the following values. But the benchmarks do not seem unrealistic.

In the Geekbench database, the new MacBook Pro model appears as the "MacBookPro15.2" and reaches 4,448 unique and remarkable multicore points of 16,607 points. For comparison: The MacBook Pro 15.4 with Touch Bar and Intel Core i7-6920HQ reached 13,992 points on our Geekbench series.

This model is supposed to be the new 13-inch version of the MacBook Pro with Intel Core i7-8559U (TDP: 28 watts) of the Coffee Lake Generation. Geekbench's memory type is 16 gigabytes of LPDDR3. Fortunately, this does not mean that the end of the memory mast is reached again at 16 gigabytes.

We are curious to know if this first sign of life of a MacBook Pro model will prove correct. According to rumors, Apple will update its MacBook Pro range this year. And the new edition of the 2018 MacBook Air is still far from the table.
