Voice commands are useful for audio books
Thanks to the update, it is now possible to start an audiobook directly by voice command. Voice commands are also useful in the case of audiobooks, even if the user has been distracted for a while and missed some text. For example, the audiobook can be simply rewound for 30 seconds without the user having to take his smartphone out of the app.
Audible control of this type is currently possible with Amazon's echo speakers, for example. This is hardly surprising, since Audible belongs to Amazon.
The update is available for free and is imported via the Sonos app. Sonos users can also continue to control their Audible audio books via the Sonos or Audible app.
Sonos recently launched the Soundbar Beam with Amazon's voice badistant, Alexa. In addition, the US company has announced its intention to make public. According to the prospectus, more than 19 million devices have been registered in about 6.9 million homes worldwide. In the last half of the fiscal year of Sonos made by March 2018 a profit of $ 13 million, the number of devices sold, however, declined slightly.
