As Square Enix has announced, the company has decided to move its internal resources. This led to work on three download episodes, with which the roleplaying game "Final Fantasy XV" should be taken into account, were dropped.
Although the release of the Final Fantasy XV role-playing game took some time, Square Enix has already indicated in the past that it will continue to be supported by new content.
Among other things, the Japanese company announced under the name "The Dawn of the Future" a new foursome of downloadable content on "Final Fantasy XV". This should in turn come with "Episode Aranea", "Episode Lunafreya", "Episode Noctis" and "Episode Ardyn".
The "Ardyn Episode" will be published in 2019
As Square Enix has acknowledged in a recent statement, this will not happen again. Instead, the company decided to postpone available resources internally and set up three of the four download packages on "Final Fantasy XV". In 2019, according to the company, only "Ardyn episode" will appear.

Among the reasons that led to this decision, it is officially stated that the freed resources will benefit the Triple A project, currently underway at Studio Luminous. In addition to these statements, a short trailer for "Ardyn Episode" has been provided.
The plot of the DLC episode of 2019 is about 30 years before the main game events and moves the eponymous character or his story to the center.
