A few days ago, Google was fined several billion euros by the European Commission for taking advantage of the dominant position of Android according to the Commission and not leave room for competition. Now, the search engine DuckDuckGo, which is very popular in some circles, has a say and continues to pour oil into the fire. The search engine will be fought by Google with unfair means.
The billion penalties against Google will not only occupy the courts for a long time, but also many observers, competitors and other companies. Of course, US President Donald Trump has interfered and launched his usual threats. Since Google is active in a large number of markets, there are also many other competitors who express and see opportunities for change.
The search engine DuckDuckGo has now taken the floor and also throws heavy weapons against Google. The Chrome browser asks users according to their own statements after each update of the extension, they want to return to Google as the default search engine and disable the Chrome extension. Sublimely this means that Google would like to limit the spread of DuckDuckGo, but in fact this survey comes with every step directly from the user made the search engine change.
Google therefore has https://t.co/ud1YyoqbZ5 and points it directly to Google Search, which consistently confuses users of DuckDuckGo.

The second point is the domain duck.com. Backed by Google in 2011, three years after the founding of DuckDuckGo, Google has redirected them directly to Google's home page. Since DuckDuckGo is often simply abbreviated as "duck", maybe one or the other will actually enter that URL. But you can probably badume that users notice very well that they are not on the alternative search engine, but on Google ?
