Skype announced today the launch of the Skype Clbadic aka Version 7 client on September 1st. It is clear for a long time that the end is inevitable, but for many users, it is a bad decision of the group.
Microsoft had something big planned: All Skype variants for the most different terminals and operating systems should result in a "functional link". This ensures that all Skype users can communicate with each other without restriction, no matter which platform they are on. But especially the new design of Skype and the omission of some beloved functions have thus arrived very badly with the users, was already several times our subject. Nevertheless, there will soon be no more backtracking. Skype now takes one last move and will replace Skype Version 7.0 (also known as Skype Clbadic) in a few weeks with the current version 8.0.

It is starting to be difficult – Skype 7.0 will be discontinued in September and can no longer be used.
Start Updates
"We encourage everyone to update now to avoid inconvenience because only Skype 8.0 will run after September 1, 2018," writes the company in its corporate blog. The client update is already started via the automatic update function. So, if you have not already updated yourself or if you have installed a newer beta, you will soon be shipping Skype 8.0.
Skype removes some features with the upgrade from version 7.0 to version 8.0, but it also has a lot to offer.
These include:
- Free HD Videos and Screen Sharing with up to 24 Participants
- "Productive Messaging" – with @mentions
- A Discussion Gallery That offers easy access to sent items and also searchable by nickname
- Sharing photos, videos and other files with up to 300 MB by drag and drop
Skype also wants to introduce more d & # 39; 39 innovations this summer. These include Skype 8.0 for iPads, end-to-end encryption for chats and audio calls, and call recordings.
