The upcoming Intel Core i9-9900K processor is expected to deliver mbadive computing power with 8 cores and 16 threads. This highlights a first reference result.

The net has a first emerging benchmark result that comes from the next core Intel Core i9-9900K processor with eight cores and 16 threads. The DirectX-12 Time Spy Reference Tool therefore points to 9862 points for the unknown 16-wire Intel processor in the 3DMark database, with a CPU score of 10719 points. As a graphics card, a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti was used, as well as 16 GB of RAM. The basic clock frequency read on the test bench is therefore 3.1 GHz, the maximum Turbo clock is 5 GHz – this corresponds to the expected specifications of the Core i9-9900K. The thermal design power of this processor should be 95 watts.



There should also be a Core i7-9700K, which also contains 8 cores, but does not reach 5 GHz in the same way. The high-end i5-9600K i5 Core therefore operates with a base clock frequency of 3.7 GHz and can reach 4.5 GHz in turbo mode. The thermal design power should be 95 watts. The Core i5-9600 should be much more modest with only 65 watts, but it should work with a base clock of only 3 GHz. The Core i5-9500 and Core i5-9400 run a little slower with the same TDP.

The Core i5-9400T even comes out with only 35 watts because of its significantly reduced clock frequencies. The Core i3-9100 and i3-9000 four-core i3s reach a base clock frequency of 3.7 GHz and should therefore offer relatively high thread performance.

Core i-9000 processor generation encourages Intel to continue Start the year – when exactly, but is not known. The competitor AMD intends to market Threadripper processors with up to 32 cores.
