The manufacturer Light has already realized its multi-camera technology in its own product: the L16 camera with 16 camera lens combinations. It costs in this country 2,050 euros. In collaboration with a smartphone maker, the young company wants to create a mobile phone with up to nine cameras.
The Washington Post has received the prototype of a potential smartphone with what is called a network of cameras. Tests have shown that the camera can take pictures with a resolution of up to 64 megapixels. The reporter reported that shooting was still excellent even in low light conditions. Depth of field and focus can be changed in hindsight.
