AVM corrects a number of bugs for the three FritzBox 7490, 7580 and 7590 router models in the FritzOS lab versions. The update is now available and fixes issues with parental control, missing channel selection and radio standards, and a flaw in the appearance of the DSL connection.
The manufacturer of the Berlin router, AVM, is in the final stages of completion for the next major update of the features of its router operating system. Now a new lab version for Fritz 7490, 7580 and 7590 boxes is ready. The update brings a number of fixes. This also includes the elimination of a problem that was not displayed during initial setup on ports 1 and 1, no home page. There was also a takeover error for Push Service on Mesh Repeater, which has now been eliminated. The update contains unspecified stability improvements for the entire system. As there are still so many bugs, even though AVM plans to finish this month, it will probably not be the last beta update before the final release.

Anyone who has already installed an old lab version, a beta version or the standard version of FritzOS can now get the update via "System / Update" and use it with the devices mentioned above.
More details on the update process AVM explains on the special page to lab versions. The new version of the Fritz laboratory still has beta status, which can cause unforeseen problems and should only be used for testing purposes.

After the update, the FritzBox should display 7490 06.98-58695, the FritzBox 7580 06.98-58696 and 7590 the number 06.98-58698 as the new version number.
