This summer, Philips is launching many outdoor lamps for its own Hue range, as well as a new light strip for the outdoors. There is no price yet communicated, the Lightstrip for the garden or the terrace was probably not yet officially presented. However, product photos are already available, as well as information on the available lengths of two and five meters. Otherwise, the product should not differ much from the indoor version. However, it seems round and evenly bright.
I count with 70 – 100 euros for the Lightstrip in the outdoor version (IP67 certified). More final details we will probably learn only about IFA in Berlin. Shortly after, the launch of the market in Germany, which was also the result of the search for German colleagues following the leak on the official website of Philips.
I am a fan of Philips Hue myself, but do not rely exclusively on system lamps. More recently, I've been able to secure a strip of light and an Osram E27 lamp for a much lower amount of money during the First Day. At once smart and colorful. Moreover, usable with the Hue Bridge. [via, via]
