PS4: New Model CUH-2200 – Slim Gets New Hardware Review

[ad_1]

Sony has released the PS4 in the model CUH-2200 (Slim). The new revision initially seems only in Japan to be available – the first resellers have the new version of PS4 already in stock. The technical data does not seem to change anything. However, Sony could use other hardware components in the PS4 CUH-2200 to reduce production costs. Details on the specific changes from the previous CUH-2100 model are not yet known.

Sony released a new PS4 model. As can be seen on a current product page on the company's website, comes with the CUH-2200 version a new revision of the PlayStation 4 Slim in the trade. Until now, the updated model seems to be available only in Japan. The first dealers already have the device in stock. The reworked PS4 Slim is available in three editions: 1TB Black Jet (CUH-2200BB01), 500GB Black Jet (CUH-2200AB01) and 1TB White Glacier (CUH-2200BB02). It remains to be seen what changes Sony is making with the new PS4 Slim model. Info does not call the company. The technical data has apparently not changed. Also the size and weight remain unchanged.

However Sony could put for the PS4 CUH-2200 on other hardware components in order to reduce production costs. This could explain the update of the CUH-2100 to CUH-2200 version number. The Gearnuke.com website also suspects that Sony could smooth hardware and software exploits with the new revision to counter hacking. As soon as we have details about the "new" PS4, you will know it as usual on our site. In our News section on PlayStation 4, we keep you posted. It also remains to be seen when the CUH-2200 will also be launched outside of Japan. The PS4 is commercially available since the end of November 2013.
