Samsung has released its business figures for the second quarter of 2018 and commented on the Galaxy S9 in this context. The company was disappointed by the sales and wants to do better on the Galaxy Note 9.

The main culprit of the weak sales of the Galaxy S9 gives Samsung the stagnant market for high-end smartphones. In the second half of the year, demand is up, but conditions for high-end devices are likely to remain unfavorable – partly due to launches of competing products. With this, the manufacturer is probably referring mostly to the new iPhones, which are expected to hit the market in the autumn of 2018. We want to counter the tough competitive environment with, among other things, the anticipated release of the Galaxy Note 9
