Bavarian footballer SV Schalding-Heining mourns the loss of his player Edvin Hodzic. The Austrian midfielder, only since summer in the club, had died at the age of 23, the club said Wednesday.
About the circumstances of death was initially unknown. The Austrian Police Traun (near Linz), the place of residence of Hodzic, excludes a third party debt. An autopsy should clarify the cause of death.
"The whole SVS family is in deep sadness and amazed," says the club. Hodzic was "a friendly, ambitious and above all, always friendly person" who "quickly won many SVS hearts inside and outside the team".
