[ad_1]

The update of Fritz OS 7 is here. The new features are only available initially for the 7590 and 7580 models, including better mesh functionality and two-channel radio bandwidth.

Fritz OS 7 brings many new features to a newer Fritzbox router. These include, among other things, an improved mesh function in the WLAN.

Connected devices are now more easily controlled through the respective best wireless band – this is to ensure more stable WLAN connections. In models such as Fritzbox 7590 and 7580, the bandwidth of the radio channel is doubled, which should also allow faster connections.

Users of repeaters and access points via WLAN, LAN or Powerline can now automatically update their additional hardware with Fritz OS 7 – The only step per device is omitted when activating Fritzbox automatic updates. Thanks to the DECT-HAN-FUN protocol, all other devices that work with this standard can now be connected to a Fritzbox.

First, the 7590 and 7580 models will receive the update, other models like The Fritzbox 7490 follows, according to AVM information later. The update is free and can be viewed via the settings of the Fritzbox.
