Aernouts and Crowley win Hamburger Ironman
Bart Aernouts and Sarah Crowley won the Ironman distance triathlon in Hamburg. Nobody had to swim in the Hanseatic city this year.
They won without getting wet: Bart Aernouts from Belgium and Australian Sarah Crowley won the Ironman in Hamburg. Aernouts earned his third victory on the Tour this year in 7:05:26 clock ahead of Brit Joe Skipper (7:12:35) and James Cunnama of South Africa (7:13:54). Behind Crowley (8:08:21), German Katharina Grohmann (8:13:30) and Danish Maja Stage-Nielsen (8:21:23) finished second and third.
