Not even a week after the last patch day, Microsoft has released more advanced updates for Windows 10 in progress. Cumulative updates are for the last three major releases of the operating system, each receiving similar improvements and bug fixes.
All users who are already up-to-date with the Windows 10 April 2018 update are addressed by KB4345421. The installation of the package provided now increases the operating system version number to 17134.166. This changes the following:
- Fixed a problem that caused an error to be reported by some devices while checking network load. This was caused by a bug in the previous update.
- Another network problem, especially important in the business sector, is also fixed: When communicating with a DHCP server, customers need incorrect IP address values noted, which of course leads no traffic could take place.
- In addition, the new update corrects a problem that paralyzed the SQL Server, as this has come to the wrong view that the one of it's used TCP port is already being used by another service.
- Finally, after installation, it will be possible to close the World Wide Web Publishing Service (W3SVC) again. Until now, if the administrator was trying to turn it off, the process went to the shutdown state, but did not completely shut down, which was n & # 39; Was not able to properly restart the service.

In addition, Microsoft has released a cumulative update for computers running Windows 10 Fall Creators Update under the identifier KB4345420. Here, the build number is increased by installation to 16299550. The package contains the same fixes as above.
Last but not least, Microsoft also addresses the Windows 10 Creators update with KB4345419. Again, the same bug fixes are made – except for the DHCP problem – so the build number increases to 15063.1208.
As usual, the appropriate update can be obtained automatically via the Windows-specific update service. However, as always, it is possible to download and read the packages manually:
