Unlike its predecessors, Xiaomi uses a Samsung Amoled display for the Mi MIX 3. It offers a diagonal of 6.39 inches with a resolution of 2340 x 1080, which increases the aspect ratio of 18: 9 (MIX 2S ) at 19.5: 9. This seems a little longer. The capacity of the battery in the Mi MIX 3 is 3,200 mAh and is therefore lower than the Mi MIX 2S at 3,400 mAh. The device now supports QuickCharge 4.0, although the scope of the supply only includes a 18-watt QC 3.0 power supply. In addition, you can reserve the supplied Qi charger with a power of 10 watts.
Price and availability
The Mi MIX 3 can now be pre-ordered in China. Delivery starts on November 1st. If the device is officially offered in Germany, we do not know. Import via a Chinese online retailer should be possible. In this case, however, make sure that the proposed variant has the global ROM, which supports not only the German version, but also the so-called international or Chinese version. Google Play Store contains. Unlike the past, it is no longer possible to replace the international or Chinese version with the global ROM. Xiaomi prevented this possibility for several weeks. No question: the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is beautiful with a screen / body ratio of over 93%. With the front camera significantly improved, the MIX series is now also capable of selfie. But apparently, Xiaomi had to reduce the battery because of the slider technique. With a larger display at the same time, the execution time should be lower than the Mi MIX 2S.
The fingerprint sensor is also always on the back. Apparently, Xiaomi has given up on an integrated optical sensor and is waiting for a marketable ultrasound version. This offers obvious advantages over the optical variant. Anyone who wanted a built-in fingerprint sensor and a larger battery for Mi MIX 3 now had to wait for variant S, which will be released in six months. In terms of MicroSD card slot and 3.5mm audio jack, everything stays the same – Xiaomi has been omitted from the MIX series for these features.
The price is positive, as usual with Xiaomi smartphones. The Mi MIX 3 is the fastest for android processor equipped (Snapdragon 845) and costs significantly less than other high-end smartphones. In addition, as a customer, you can expect a powerful charger, including a Qi charging station. This is not self-evident everywhere today.
