The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, appointed Razak Awudulai as General Manager of GO Energy Company Limited.

GO Energy is a subsidiary of GOIL Company Ltd.

Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko, in a statement copied to Peacefmonline.com, asked the Ghana Oil Company Ltd's board of directors to "take the necessary steps to regularize the appointment of Mr. Razak Awudulai as General Manager of GO Energy Company Ltd pursuant to the relevant parts of the Companies Act, 1963 (Bill 179) and the by-laws of the Company. Razak Awudulai has significant public and private sector experiences in managerial capacity.

Between 2005 and 2009, he was the youngest city director general (mayor) of Kintampo, the city located in the geographical center of Ghana
