For years, many people have been wondering what an a la carte option would actually cost. Discovery may not be ready yet to offer the card, but its new streaming service should give us an idea.
David Zaslav, CEO of Discovery, said he planned to offer 17 channels for just $ 5 a month. option. This will include Discovery's owned networks, including TLC and Discovery Channel, as well as the networks they recently purchased from Scripps, including HGTV, Food Network and Travel Channel.
Discovery has been referring to this new service for years. We still have no release date, and Zaslav said that there was no timetable for the launch yet. According to Zaslav, Discovery still has a lot to learn.
