Jean Mensa has been appointed new President of the Electoral Commission.
The State Council has approved The appointment of Nana Akufo-Addo as president for the vacant chair of the electoral commission, Starrfmonline.com, convened
The President last week appointed Mrs. Jean Mensa as President of the Electoral Commission.
She replaces Ms. Charlotte Osei was dismissed by her two badistants – Amadu Sulley and Georgina Opoku Amankwah – by the President following the recommendations of a committee set up by the Chief Justice to probe a petition against them
Ms. Charlotte Osei allegedly breached the laws on public procurement several contracts, before the elections of 2016.
Mr. Samuel Tettey – Vice President, Mr. Eric Asare Bossman – Vice President and Ms. Adwoa Asuama Abrefa – Member of the Commission appointments by the President to fill vacancies in the Electoral Commission.
Sources at Jubilee House revealed to Starrfmonline.com that the president was to swear them today after approval but the ceremony was postponed to a later date.
