Lomé, July 9, 2018 – Ecobank Transnational Incorporated, ETI, Ecobank Group's parent company in Lome, announced today that Mr. Charles Kie has confirmed his intention to step down as Director General of Ecobank Nigeria Limited and will also leave the Group.

Prior to holding his current position at Ecobank Nigeria, Mr. Kie was the Group Executive, Corporate and Investment Bank for Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), Head of Corporate and Investment Banking Operations. Ecobank Group through the global network of 40 countries, including 36 in Africa. He joined Ecobank in October 2011 as Chief Operating Officer of Ecobank Capital, and was appointed Group Head of Corporate Banking.

Before joining the Ecobank Group, he was, between 2008 and 2011, CEO of Groupe Banque Atlantique, based in Togo and Côte d 'Ivoire. Mr. Kie also had a successful career with Citibank between 1997 and 2008, becoming CEO of Citigroup West Africa between 2004 and 2008.
