Dr. K. D Asante, newly elected president of the Ghana Hockey Association (GHA), has put in place a comprehensive vision of the sport, while he seeks to take it to another level.
Asante, who is also the president of the Cizitens International Hockey Club, won the presidential race last Saturday, after nine votes out of sixteen, and his rival, Amo-Gottfred, voted seven times
. After his victory, Dr. Asante said that it was necessary to define strategies to change the face of hockey because he was ready to work with his colleagues to achieve this dream.
"I would reconstruct plans to develop hockey with players and technical staff at the center of the plans, as well as facilities on the outside and in the field.
"Another objective is to develop all regions and affiliated badociations.We will ensure that there is playground in all regions since it is one of the things that are missing from our game. 19659003]
"We would talk to representatives of the various regions and get their opinion on how to get hockey to a higher level," said Dr. Asante

Hockey has enjoyed some support from people who practice this sport, but this is not enough, so we must engage a coporate organization to establish a form partnership, "he concluded. Elizabeth King was elected Vice-President by voting nine votes while her opponent Mr. Kwame Owusu had seven votes
Mr. Albert Ofori was elected Honorary Treasurer while Mr. Frank Oti-Mensah and Grace Ankomah were elected members executives of the badociation.
