Lupita Nyong & # 39; o, Hollywood Hollywood actress, is the surprise candidate for the final selection of this year's African Muzik Magazine Awards (Afrimma) Awards.
Lupita was nominated to the Afrimma Achievers' Awards, which is a new category that is at stake for the very first time this year.
The fifth edition of the prestigious award, which honors the best artists of Africa, is scheduled for October in Dallas, Texas in the United States.
Several other Kenyan artists have been nominated in various categories, including Sauti Sol, Kimina Victoria, Akothee and Gloria Muliro

In his first edition, Lupita will face South African comedian Trevor Noah among other notable nominees.
Among Kenyan nominees, Sauti Sol is on the list. in three categories; & # 39; Best Male East Africa & # 39 ;, & quot; Best African Group & # 39; and & # 39; Best Live Act & # 39; while rapper Khaligraph Jones has two nominations for "Best Male East Africa". and & # 39; Best Rap Act & # 39 ;.
